About me
Hello, I am Nathan Bergen, and I am a broadcasting student attending Mount Royal University majoring in Broadcast Media Studies and actively minoring in Marketing, where I prioritize hands-on production, live broadcasting, and digital storytelling. My work spans live sports production, creative video editing, and storytelling, supported by strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, Davinci Resolve, and broadcasting systems like TriCaster and vMix. I've produced live sports broadcasts for the MRU Cougars Men's and Women's Soccer and Courts teams, alongside the Saskatchewan S.W.A.T. Lacrosse Club in social media, media production, and creating a strong team-branded broadcast identity.
I've also worked alongside The Reflector sports journalists & editor in creating digital storytelling through video content and with Métis Nation - Saskatchewan as a creative intern working alongside media professionals to create compelling stories of Métis pride and identity. Whether directing a live broadcast, crafting dynamic video content, or shaping audio-focused storytelling, I bring a collaborative mindset and sharp eye for detail. This has helped grow my experience with translating real-world moments into compelling media. Through my academic and professional experience, I've built and continue to grow a portfolio rooted in creativity, clarity, high-quality production, and compelling storytelling through all media forms.
